Judge Kathleen Dobrozsi Romans was appointed September 8, 2008, following the untimely death of the highly respected Judge David J. Niehaus. Judge Romans was successfully elected to complete the unexpired term of Judge Niehaus in November of 2008. Judge Romans has served for 27 years as Judge, Magistrate, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and guardian ad litem for the Butler County Juvenile Court.
